Day 0 - Get to paradise
Travel Day

We got to the airport about two hours early so we had a chef salad and a
diet coke. I was still hungry. Here is a photo me after the salad:
"I wanna burger," says Patrick.
"I'd rather not... maybe a little more salad," says Casey
"Harumph!"
"I love you"
"Hmph, I love you too." :)
We didn't have another salad, but we had a good time watching air traffic
in Fairbanks. Plus we moved from gate 3 to gate 4. AKA, we didn't move from
our seats at all!
On our flight from Fairbanks to Anchorage we got a spectacular veiw of the
Great One. Say you see some incredible mountain range. Well, take a
mountain and put it on top of that mountain range, only then might you
have an idea of the awe that Denali inspires. 20,300 ft tall with a back
drop of Mount Foracker (about 19K ft tall). Denali is the largest
mountain above sea level from base to top, and is part of the Alaska
range. It is surrounded by a national park the size of Massachusettes
and has been roamed by dinosaurs. The mountain is primarily composed of
granite. Neat, eh?
